very cool so far..
this show has my attention!
Hi JennsPlace. Hi Tallone. I'm here. West coast though, so still waiting to compare the "leaked" version I've seen with the final version airing tonight.
Did anyone catch what he said when he was "dying"?
this looks weird...REALLY weird, yet amazing. Maybe not as good as lost, but pretty close
Agent scott said something to the effect of go ask Broyle why...
he told her to ask herself why she was sent to investigate the storage place
My first suspicion: Peter and the good Dr. are orchestrating the whole thing! Well, maybe not. :-) But now that it has occurred to me as one possible ultimate outcome, I'll be watching those two real close...
Good stuff. Its got me wanting more.
@Edward...now that is a twist in the plot..."the pattern" is the key as it was before the show started.
I love it! This show is hilarious, and I can't wait for next Tuesday!
Finally a show for X-File/Alias/Twilight Zone junkies! Loved it and definitly want to see more. Cannot wait till next week.
When John was dying he said to Olivia 'why? ask yourself why he chose you'. Hmmmmm . . .
Hi All!
Lost of good stuff to talk about... there were a bunch of changes from the two versions I had already seen...
I'll be posting up some screen caps soon!
did anyone else notice the cat in the window and the OVERLY loud meow while they were in the basement attempting to create the vaccination?
When Olivia says she wants things to go back to the way they were, then Broyles tells her that she can't... do you think Broyles knew Agent Scott was a bad guy?
Comcast has it listed as 7 to 8:35 PST tonight. It's 7:35 and the Simpsons are on. WTH Comcast?
I loved the cat! Definitely added to the mad scientist atmosphere!
It had some amazing points, and it had some boring points. Super solid though, so I gave it four stars.
I must admit, this pilot really impressed me. I think this is going to be a really good show, I just hope it stays solid through the series. I'm very psyched for next Tuesday!
Loved it! Some believability issues, but can really see the potential. Reminded me a lot of LOST...music especially! Also thought the graphics setting the scenes where very inventive. I'll keep watching!
What a roller coaster ride! I have to watch it again to see things I missed. I missed the cat. It was spooky, freaky, gross, & very cool. I too noticed 'Lost' type music. I found it hard to catch some of the dialog over the music though, so will have to turn the cc on.
I never saw the Agent Scott thing coming @ the end. Blew me away.
I'm psyched, I won tix to the red carpet screening this Sat @ the NYFTVF in NYC. I find it strange that they're showing the ep that's already aired, but whatever, I'll get to see it on the big screen & see the stars.
Not too bad. I am a huge Lost/X-Files fan, so of course I'm watching it. It was a bit more over the top than I expected, though. I admit I did not expect the ending, so a big thumbs up for the surprise.
I think Fringe is some sort of Prequel to Lost. Who called it?

I created a Fringe trivia quiz if anyone wants to try it. Let me know what your score is!
I liked it - very Lost with some X Files tossed in. Has anyone seen the old movie "Altered States"? Abrams gave it a huge nod with the sensory deprivation tank, in the basement of a Harvard building no less. And the one-armed chick is played by an actress that was in the movie.
I liked it for the most part. Peter and Walter are definitely my favorits. Olivia is interesting - It's good to see a female lead for once - hopefully I'll continue to like her. Broyles, on the other hand, is going to take some getting used to...
Funny jscififan. I actually liked Torv's performance the best. She could have easily overdone it, but instead nailed it and left her character room to grow. The boys did adequate by my measure, but that's because I think they had limited screentime I think.
kept me in my seat the whole time, the first 5 minutes grabbed me and I was hooked! can't wait until next week!!!

I just watched it last night. Very weird and trippy - probably not for everyone. Yes, the sensory deprivation tank was EXACTLY the same as the one in FRINGE. Blair Brown is so young in that movie, but then it was 28 years ago...
Does anyone know a site I can visit to find out what happened in the last 8 minutes? I feel asleep during the commercial! The last thing I saw was the guy being suffocated by the man with the pillow.
You can watch it online or watch it again on TV Sun, Sept 14, 8:00 PM.
@Edward - I actually agree with you completely about Torv's performance. There were just a few things about her character that bugged me but like you said there's room for her character to grow and I'm interested in seeing where the show goes.
I really only ended up liking the boys more because their issues/baggage/quarks were more interesting than hers. We'll see what happens in future episodes.
I loved the dream sequence..Olivia's eyes were so telling....she wanted Scott to have the conifidence to show her the face.
Was the fact that what's his name was passenger 108 a reference to the Lost numbers?
most...excellent
will someone please email missnancalita@yahoo.com and tell me the name of the actor who played the doctor (in episode 1) that told the female agent (at the beginning, when she wakes up in the hospital and walks down the hall) that her boyfriend/partner is alive but with complications? PLEASE! i know i watched something with him before and i REALLY liked it, but i can't think of it to save my life!
MissNancalita,
That information is available at Fringepedia: http://www.fringepedia.net/index.php?title=Pilot
The doctors name was Dr. Reyes, and the actors name is Peter Outerbridge.
