By fringeobsessed Email Post 9/15/2012 10:00:00 PM Categories: Announcement, Ari Margolis, Fringe, Video
On September 16th, Fringe Media Master, Ari Margolis, celebrates his birthday!
If you've been following Fringe Television anytime in the last 2 years, you will have noticed the volume of incredible promos, and other video features created by Ari that we have showcased here-almost too numerous to name.
Ari is not only a talented video artist in the television industry, but also a true and sharing Fringe fan who has been extremely interactive with other fans in the Fringedom via Twitter.
And just 2 days ago he, personally, introduced John Noble to Twitter(his address is @johnnob58004412-go say hello to John!), which is typical of Ari to do.
Ari, we all just want to take a moment to thank you for all you do for Fringe fans worldwide, and especially thanks for all your support in our fan endeavors.
So all of us here at Fringe Television wish Ari Margolis a very Happy Birthday with this video gift, created by talented Fringe vidder, Arturo Garcia. (Thank you for making this, Arturo.)
Ari, you make all the great Fringe vids, so back at cha! Enjoy!

2012 Saturn Award Winners in TV: 'Breaking Bad', 'Fringe' and 'Walking Dead'
July 27, 2012 08:30:03 GMT
by AceShowBiz.com
The crime drama series leads the pack with three nods, the sci-fi drama trails behind with two gongs, while 'The Walking Dead' and 'Teen Wolf' are among other shows which take home one prize each.
The 2012 Primetime Emmy Awards is yet to be held, but "Breaking Bad" has added trophies to its shelves. The AMC drama series edged out other scripted shows on cable channels to nab the Best Syndicated/Cable Television Series title at the 38th Annual Saturn Awards. It took home two other kudos through Bryan Cranston's win for Best TV Actor and Aaron Paul's victory for Best Supporting Actor on Television.
Another coveted prize, the Best Network Television Series award, went to "Fringe" which was snubbed in the 64th Annual Primetime Emmy Award nomination list. The show's lead actress Anna Torv was additionally hailed as Best Actress on Television.
The rest of the awards in TV field were snatched by cable series, such as AMC's "The Walking Dead" which nabbed the Best Television Presentation, and MTV's "Teen Wolf" which was named the Best Youth-Oriented Television Series. Other AMC show "The Killing" collected one accolade through Michelle Forbes' win for Best Supporting Actress, while TNT's "Leverage" led Tom Skerritt to grab a trophy through his guest stint.
A gala for this year's Saturn Awards was held Thursday, July 26 night in Burbank, California. It presented prizes for TV shows, movies and DVDs for science fiction, fantasy and horror genres. It additionally handed out some Special Achievement Awards, with the long-running animated series "The Simpsons" being honored with The Milestone Award.

Happy Birthday AnnaTorv!
By fringeobsessed Email Post 6/15/2012 09:57:00 PM Categories: Anna Torv, Announcement, Fringe
Althought some sites are reporting that today is definitely the beautiful Anna Torv's birthday, no one can confirm this except Anna herself, and she has not. But the stunning actress has admitted previously that her birthday is in June.
Last year on this date, Wikipedia had her birthdate as June 7th, while the imdb site had it as June 15th.
So we posted a birthday wish on June 15th and we'll post this year's wish today also.
Anna, you are awesome, and we thank you for all the many shades of Olivia Dunham you play. Regardless which day in June is your actual birthdate all of us here at Fringe Television hope you have a very special day!
Happy Birthday, Joshua Jackson

I'm posting this a few minutes late in Eastern time, but it's still Joshua Jackson's birthday in his home town of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Happy Birthday to the man who plays our favorite door-kicking, raising-all things mechanical-back-to-life, dumb, smart guy.
From all of us here at Fringe Television, have a great day, Joshua. And thanks for joining us on Twitter a few months ago and sticking around!
You can wish Mr. Jackson a Happy Birthday on Twitter via @Vancity Jax.
Amazon Lists The Complete Fourth Season of Fringe on DVD & Blu-ray for Pre-Order
By fringeobsessed Email Post 6/08/2012 09:00:00 PM Categories: Announcement, DVD, Fringe, Fringe. Season 4
It's a great feeling when Amazon.com lists the previous season of Fringe available for pre-order!
According to Amazon, both the DVD and Blu-ray versions will be available on September 4th, 2012, which is 17 days before the Season 5 premiere date.
But tread cautiously, as last year fans were promised an earlier release like this only to have it show up just days before Season 4 began. Regardless, it's good news, and there's no time like the present to get ordered-up. The DVD set is priced at $41.99 and the Blu-Ray set at $48.99.

Science cabler nabs 'Fringe' reruns
Amazon also said to be a contender for SVOD rights to WBTV drama
By Andrew Wallenstein
Posted: Wed., May. 23, 2012, 6:57pm PT
Fox series "Fringe" has been sold into syndication to an unlikely buyer: Discovery-owned cabler Science. And a second, even more unusual buyer may be coming to the party.
Discovery confirmed that the off-network deal was completed Wednesday. Pact is non-exclusive, which will allow Warner Bros.' syndie arm to bring in a second buyer in the subscription VOD window.
That's a category where Netflix and Hulu Plus have emerged as eager buyers, but they may be upstaged in this instance by Amazon, which sources say has been aggressively courting the property in a bid to finally break into the off-net marketplace where they've been quiet to date.
Last month, Fox ordered a final fifth season of 13 episodes of the sci-fi hour from WBTV, which agreed to trim its license fee on the show because it was looking to pack as many episodes as possible into the sale. (The fifth season will bring the show's episode tally to 100.) "Fringe's" audience is small enough to make it a question mark for renewal in recent years, but it has been helped by a fervent fan base that is vocal across social media.

‘Fringe’ Sells In Off-Network Syndication To Science Channel
By NELLIE ANDREEVA
Wednesday May 23, 2012 @ 8:34pm PDT
A month after securing a 13-episode fifth and final season renewal from Fox, modestly rated sci-fi drama Fringe has been sold in off-network syndication to Discovery Communications’ Science Channel. The pact between Fringe producer/distributor Warner Bros and Science includes a SVOD carveout, allowing Warner Bros to sell the series to a streaming service where serialized dramas do far better than in traditional off-network syndication.

Fringe Twitter and GetGlue Campaign For 421 "Brave New World:Part I"-Darkest Before Dawn

Fringe Twitter and GetGlue Campaign For 421 "Brave New World:Part I"-Darkest Before Dawn
The last Fringe Twitter and GetGlue campaign, sponsored by Fringenuity on April 27th was quite successful.
Thanks to Fox Broadcasting's help, the entire episode aired with the Fringenuity hash tag "Worlds Apart" on the screen instead of #Fringe, for the sixth time in the show's history!
The group, Fringenuity, hosts the Friday night Twitter/GetGlue campaigns.
Fringe Television is proud to support Fringenuity's efforts to promote "Fringe" in as many social media venues as possible, and asks for your help.
**SEASON 5 UPDATE:As of this evening, FOX has officially picked up Fringe for a fifth season composed of 13 episodes!**
Tonight we want to continue our social media domination and thank FOX, the show's sponsors, the executive producers, cast, and crew by trying to get the hash tag #DarkestBeforeDawn to trend on Twitter starting at 8PM Eastern.
That's 1 hour before the new episode airs, and then again at 8PM Pacific time.
Why keep tweeting? Because we know that ratings isn't just about Nielsen boxes anymore. TV networks and their contractors pay attention to which TV shows are 'socially-active' and our show Fringe is very socially-active on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and other venues.
Why continue this effort? Last Friday's event catapulted Fringe in multiple social media platforms, and we would like to keep Fringe visible in these platforms in the weeks and months ahead, even over the summer hiatus.
Please consider joining in tonight at 8PM Eastern and 8PM Pacific to support your favorite show by signing into Twitter and using the #DarkestBeforeDawn hash tag.
If you are not familiar with Twitter, you can create an new account rather painlessly at http://www.twitter.com/.
For more information on this week's special Fringe Twitter event, including the 21 special icons, 2 banners, and brandy new wallpaper and Twitter skins for this event(!) visit the Fringenuity website here.
An important reminder: Please do not tweet with the #DarkestBeforeDawn hash tag until 8PM Eastern, to increase the likelihood of trending! And volume helps, so tweet slowly, and tweet often after the start time Friday night! Also, retweet tweets that you like, that have the #DarkestBeforeDawn hash tag.
Let's dominate Twitter Friday night, and make our hash tag and our show trend worldwide! Again!
********EXTRA!EXTRA! Need another reason to tweet tonight?********
In a conference call Wednesday afternoon executive producers Joel Wyman and Jeff Pinkner confirmed for me that they will be LIVE tweeting during BOTH the East and West coast airings!
***ButWait! There's more!***
Another social network platform that needs our attention on Friday nights is GetGlue.com.
If you are not familiar with getglue.com it is a very clever advertising site married to social networking.
GetGlue merges fans with their interests, and their interests' sponsors.
If you have a GetGlue account you can "check-in" to Fringe. The shows that get the most check-ins are highly visible to the networks and the show's sponsors.
It is recommended you start checking into GetGlue closer to the start time of Fringe to increase the chance of trending there. For the last several Friday nights we made Fringe the #1 checked in show on GetGlue!
Fringenuity is asking that tonight, your first check-in to one of Fringe's sponsors on GetGlue, ie. Nissan Leaf, and thank them for supporting Fringe. Think it doesn't make a difference? Guess again.
For the last few weeks, due to our GetClue check-ins, the Nissan Leaf was one of the most checked-in sponsors on the site.
Let’s make it a combined effort to not only check-in to the show, but to also check-in to the show’s advertisers and comment, “Thank You for your support of Fringe! @FringeOnFox”
If you don’t have a GetGlue account, make one at http://www.getglue.com/.
You can post your check-ins to Twitter and/or Facebook.
The more activity, the better, as this may also get other Fringies involved in the GetGlue check-ins.
GetGlue also has convenient mobile phone aps for iphone, Android, and Blackberry.
THE BOTTOM LINE: Please, enjoy the new episode tonight, and support high visibility of your show by tweeting on Twitter with the special hash tag, and checking into Fringe at GetGlue and thanking at least 1 of Friday night's many sponsors. Your efforts will not go unrewarded, and it is quite likely these actions helped us acquire a Season 5!
Fringedom, the time is now to thank FOX, the show's sponsors, and everyone affiliated with Fringe by watching "Brave New World:Part I" LIVE tonight, and joining in this Twitter/GetGlue event!

EP's Joel Wyman & Jeff Pinkner LIVE Tweeting During 419-Josh Jackson Too!
By fringeobsessed Email Post 4/20/2012 06:42:00 AM Categories: Announcement, Fringe, Jeff Pinkner, Joel Wyman, Joshua Jackson, Season 4, Twitter
You've heard me say executive producer Joel Wyman is a frequent visitor to Twitter.
Especially lately, as he knows Fringe fans have been awaiting news of a renewal of the series for a 5th season.
Wednesday afternoon Joel dropped in and said he and co-showrunner Jeff Pinkner will be live tweeting
both airings of episode 419 this Friday night.
As icing on the cake, Josh Jackson tweeted a few hours later that he would be live tweeting also,
but only during the West Coast airing.
Say hello to Joel, Jeff, and Josh and shower them with praise this Friday night!
If you do not have a Twitter account you can easily make one at http://twitter.com/
Follow the 3 of them at these Twitter addresses:
@JWFRINGE Joel Wyman
@JPFRINGE Jeff Pinkner
@VanCity Jax Joshua Jackson
(fo note:I wouldn't be surprised to see other Fringe alumni live tweet also such as Jasika Nicole,
Kirk Acevedo, Lance Reddick, Michael Cerveris, and Michelle Krusiec.)

Sadly, not THE news we've been waiting for, but news that the good people at FOX have added some Fringe merchandise to the "Fringe" store. Use the link below to check it out.
JOEL WYMAN @JWFRINGE
No news yet. BUT -- Fringe stuff is now in the Fox store. Small victories. ; )

Joshua Jackson and Executive Producer Joel Wyman Live Tweeting on Twitter After Tonight's Episode!
By fringeobsessed Email Post 3/23/2012 07:47:00 PM Categories: Announcement, Fringe, Joel Wyman, Joshua Jackson, Season 4, Twitter
As if you didn't have enough great reasons to participate in the Fringe Twitter/GetGlue campaign tonight, hosted by Fringenuity, I give you a few more!
Two days ago, executive producer Joel Wyman dropped by at Twitter(and we always love it) and answered many fan questions. One fan asked if he would be live tweeting after the airing of episode 415 tonight. Joel posted the following:
" I will. Barring any unforeseen circumstances. For sure."
At 10PM last night Joshua Jackson, who plays Peter Bishop on our favorite show, started tweeting on Twitter. That's right! Joshua Jackson has a Twitter account and has been quite actively tweeting since 10PM Eastern US time last night.
Of course many Fringe fans were skeptical that @VancityJax was the real Joshua Jackson, so executive producer Joel Wyman appeared and tweeted the following around 3AM Eastern:
JOEL WYMAN @JWFRINGE
Popping on to say @vancityjax is the great Josh Jackson. It's true. 'Night!
Now, in addition to joining Fringe fans on Twitter last night and today in between filming on the set in Vancouver, Josh tweeted the following reply when asked if he was going to live tweet during episode 415 tonight:
"as much as I can. I'll be at work, but I'm going to join @JWFRINGE in the fun."
So Fringe fans, I present you two more reasons to get onto Twitter tonight after episode 415 ends:
Joel Wyman and Joshua Jackson.
(And please be aware that Jasika Nicole sometimes joins us as well as long time fan Rebecca Mader, and past guest actress Michelle Krusiec.)
If you are not familiar with Twitter you can make an account here: http://www.twitter.com/.

Vote For Fringe in Hulu's Best In Show 2012
By fringeobsessed Email Post 3/09/2012 09:20:00 PM Categories: Announcement, Fringe, Hulu
They say this is the golden age of television. From offbeat comedies such as "30 Rock" to gripping dramas like "Game of Thrones," we can't argue with that.
But what's the most incredible, era-defining series on TV today? We asked HitFix's Alan Sepinwall for his take, but Hulu's third annual Best in Show is all about your vote. We've rounded up 32 TV shows for a bracket-style competition. Each week, the winning shows — based solely on the fans' votes — will advance, all the way until we reach No. 1. Cast your votes and find out who wins on April 12.
Week #1 March 8-March 14
Category:Agents Of Mass Destruction
Fringe In hindsight, I wonder if the "Fringe" producers might like a mulligan on the decision to spend this fourth season in two brand-new (or largely-rewritten) timelines where Peter died as a boy, which severed the emotional connection we had built with all the other characters over the three previous seasons. Yet even with that handicap, we've gotten a number of excellent episodes, and John Noble is outstanding no matter how many versions of Walter Bishop he's asked to play.
Fringe is up for a vote against the series "Homeland."
Please vote often for Fringe from now until March 14th by clicking here.
