By fringeobsessed Email Post 1/17/2013 02:40:00 PM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
Welcome to the last installment of Fringe Discuss, where we post a Fringe-related question and ask you to give us your answers.
We cannot change the fact that the end is in sight, but we can speculate about it.
This week's question: What do you think will happen during the 2-hour season finale this Friday?
Please feel free to post your responses below.
DO NOT POST ANY SPOILERS HERE.
C'mon. This is your last chance to share your thoughts on the ends of the story arcs here!
Fringe:Discuss:What Would You Like To See In Season 5?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 5/30/2012 09:20:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Season 5
If I 'heard' Joel Wyman, Jeff Pinkner, and Akiva Goldsman, the three executive producers who wrote both parts of the Season 4 finale, "Brave New World" correctly, 09 21 12 will likely be the date of the Season 5 premiere.
This has not been posted anywhere(yet) but since this just happened to be the 6 digit code Simon used to get into the old Massive Dynamic building, and knowing a bit about the J/J/A style, I'd bet my lunch on it!
Which brings to mind all the possibilities of the upcoming last season of this incredible series, and brings us to this week's Fringe:Discuss question:
Q:What would you like to see in Season 5?
I know many of you reading this are doing you own series rewatches, which is great.
As you answer this week's question, think about the unanswered questions and scenarios that still linger from the previous four seasons.
Also, think about the characters and the actors who play them. Perhaps there's a certain celeb you'd like to see in the series as a good or bad guy or gal?
Post your comments below.
And remember not to post any spoilers here, especially that one speculative casting spoiler that's out there. If you want to know about that click on the "Fringe Spoilers" tab at the top of the page.
I will do my very best to get this list to Fringe showrunners Joel Wyman and Jeff Pinkner. It's unlikely, but wouldn't it be great if we got some feedback on this from them?
Fringe Discuss:What would you ask Joel Wyman & Jeff Pinkner?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 5/02/2012 09:14:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe, Interview, Jeff Pinkner, Joel Wyman, Season 4
It's time for another installment of Fringe:Discuss, where we give you a question and ask for your response.
Tonight at 5PM Eastern there is a media conference call with executive producers Joel Wyman and Jeff Pinkner. Members of the media will attempt to get them to answer some questions.
This is always a wonderful interview opportunity, and sometimes our favorite showrunners are more forthcoming with their information than others.
This week's discussion question:Q: If you had the chance, what would you ask Joel and Jeff?
Feel free to post your responses below.
PLEASE NOTE:Do not bring up any spoilers for the two-part season finale here(Have you even found any? It's been very quiet spoiler-wise in the fandom this week!) If you feel the need to post and/or discuss spoilers, please click on the "Fringe Spoilers" tab at the top of the page.
Fringe Discuss: Is This Peter's Olivia, or not?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 2/29/2012 09:16:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
It's the first Wednesday during our new little winter hiatus, and a great time for a new installment
of Fringe Discuss, where we throw out a question to get your feedback.
There's been a lot of internet chatter since the last scene of episode 4.04, titled "Subject 9," when
Peter addresses his relief at Olivia Dunham's arrival to his hospital room and Olivia ends the episode
by asking Peter "Who are you?"
We learn that the current Olivia says she's only known Peter for 3 months, yet she has so many memories in 'The End Of All Things" of our Olivia in the Old Timeline.
When Peter has the opportunity in "The End Of All Things" to share consciousness with September, September asks Peter to do something for him, but Peter answers:
PETER: I'm not doing anything till you tell me where to find Olivia--
THE OBSERVER: For that, you have only to go home.
If you've watched 4.14 you know Peter takes that literally and goes back to his house, and that event leads him back to Olivia and Nina being held captive by David Robert Jones.
So this week's question is: The current Olivia Dunham we've seen in episode 4.14, is this Peter's Olivia, or not?
Please feel free to post your thoughts and theories below.
Remember, SPOILERS ARE NOT PERMITTED HERE. If you wish to post and/or discuss spoilers
please click on the "Fringe Spoilers" tab at the top of the page.
We look forward to reading all your theories on this one!
Is this Olivia "Peter's Olivia"?
Fringe:Discuss Why and How Do Olivia and Nina Know Each Other?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 11/02/2011 09:36:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
It's Wednesday, and time for another installment of our feature, Fringe:Discuss,
where we post a question and ask for your comments and opinions.
It's been 3 long weeks since episode 404, titled, "Subject 9" aired.
In it the following conversation took place between our Olivia Dunham and Nina Sharp:
NINA: So you told me about the Fringe Event, but I think you left something out. It's happening to you, isn't it? (motherly) Now, come on. I haven't seen this much fear in your face since Bobby Hastings asked you to the prom. So what can I do to help you, dear?
OLIVIA: (delighted with her docent) You've done it. Walter thinks he knows how to deal with it. We just need to find the file.
As you can read above, Olivia and Nina have a history in this timeline that they did not have in the one from the first three seasons.
Q:In the newly-established timeline, Olivia and Nina are closer than they were in the previous one.
Why and how do Olivia Dunham and Nina Sharp know each other? Any theories?
Please post your comments below, and remember, do NOT post spoilers here.
If you wish to discuss spoilers, click on the "Fringe Spoilers" tab at the top of the page and post your spoiler comments there.
I look forward to reading everyone's theories on this interesting turn of events.
Fringe:Discuss-How will Peter Bishop Respond to Olivia's Asking Him Who He Is?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 10/26/2011 03:23:00 PM Categories: Discuss

Two weeks ago, "Subject 9," ended with our Olivia asking Peter Bishop (gulp!)"Who are you?" So this week's question starts where last week's episode ended:
Q. How will Peter Bishop respond to Olivia's asking him who he is?
Please post your comments below, and remember, do not post spoilers here!
Any comments with spoilers will be deleted.
You can post all the spoilers you want in the "Fringe Spoilers" section, by clicking on it at the top of the main page.

Fringe Discuss: What Is Different In The New Timeline?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 10/05/2011 03:00:00 PM Categories: Discuss, Fringe, Season 4

Recently in an interview with Maris Roffman of GiveMeMyRemote.com, executive producer Jeff Pinkner, said the following regarding the lack of Peter Bishop's influence on other characters in the series:
[Peter's] influence on the characters on the other side only dates back to the end of season 2. So things on that side are far less touched by Peter’s presence. Having said that, alt-Broyles was dead because he helped Olivia escape. So we can assume that because he’s alive, that didn’t happen. Elsewhere, without trying to set up a game, there are obvious clues and opportunities for the audience to figure out what’s different and what’s the same because of Peter’s presence. And we’re not trying to be elusive. With the things that are important, we will make very plain. And with the others that are less important, we will allow to color the show.
Today's Fringe Discuss question: What other changes, due to a lack of Peter Bishop, do you think the executive producers "will make very plain" in the upcoming episodes?
Please post your comments below, and remember that spoilers do NOT belong here! Fringe spoilers are very welcome at the "Fringe Spoilers" page you can access by clicking on "Fringe Spoilers" at the top of this page.
Also, please be courteous of your fellow posters, as there are no right or wrong answers to this week's question, just healthy speculations.
Fringe Discuss: Who Would You Like To See Return On Fringe?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 9/28/2011 01:55:00 PM Categories: Discuss, Fringe, Season 4
Welcome back to our weekly feature here at Fringe Television called "Fringe Discuss",where we throw out a Fringe-related topic and eagerly aniticipate your feedback.
This week's topic is inspired from Michael Aussiello's 9/27 post at tvline.com (NOTE: You do NOT have to go look at that spoilery post to participate in this discussion.)
In this new reality, where Peter doesn’t (quite) exist, events have played out differently in both universes, and some characters who had died in the Blue/Red universes may still be alive in this new Orange universe.
Discussion Question: Any thoughts on which character may not be dead in the re-set timeline?
Please give us your opinions in the comments below. As always we ask that you respect everyone's opinion, and keep your posts clean.
NOTE:This is NOT the place to discuss spoilers! Comments containing true spoilers will be deleted. We have a great place to discuss spoilers called "Fringe Spoilers, " which you can get to by clicking on its tab at the top of the page.
Fringe Discuss: What Will Happen Next To Peter Bishop?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 4/27/2011 02:53:00 PM Categories: Discuss, Fringe

Toward the end of "6:02 AM EST" we saw Peter lying unconscious in a hospital bed after getting rejected by "the device".
So this week's question is: Why was Peter rejected by "the device", and what will happen next to Peter Bishop?
I would love to hear your comments and theories on this so please post them in the comments below.
And remember, please do NOT post any spoilers here. Post your spoiler comments in the "Spoilers" section of this website.
Also: I couldn't think of a good poll topic this week, so if you have any ideas, leave a comment, a we may use your idea for a poll.
Fringe Discuss: Should The Blue Universe Trust Sam Weiss?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 4/13/2011 04:39:00 PM Categories: Discuss, Fringe

Happy Wednesday, fellow Fringe Fans. It's time for another non-spoiler edition of Fringe Discuss.
Today's discussion question: In Walternate's world, the anagram on the chalkboard in "Over There:Part 2" read "Don't Trust Sam Weiss." So, the red 'verse is not to trust Sam Weiss. And what about the blue 'verse?
Should the blue universe trust Sam Weiss? Is there even a red 'verse version of Sam? And who wrote that message?
What do you think?I would love to hear everyone's take on this. Please post your answers and comments below, and PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY POSTED SPOILERS WILL BE DELETED. We've got an entire section called "Spoilers" for you to post the spoiler-y stuff.
Do you trust Sam Weiss?

By fringeobsessed Email Post 4/06/2011 11:51:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
It's Wednesday, Fringe fans, and time for another installment of "Fringe Discuss."
New Fringe episodes resume on April 15th with episode 319, "Lysergic Acid Diethylamine"(AKA "LSD"). This weeks' question relates to this new episode:
Do you think William Bell will be out of Olivia Dunham's body by the end of "Lysergic Acid Diethylamine", and if so where do you think he will go?
We can't wait to hear everyone's take on this so please comment below and tell us what you think!
NOTE: There's a lot of spoiler talk going on right now on the internet, and many fans here do NOT want to be spoiled, so please DO NOT post any spoilerish information or comments. You can post your spoiler info in the section headed "Spoilers."
Do you think William Bell will leave Olivia's body by the end of "LSD"?
Fringe Discuss: What will FauxLivia Name Her Baby Boy?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 3/30/2011 08:00:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
Welcome to another Wednesday, Fringe fans, and that means it's time for another round of Fringe Discuss.
Well, FauxLivia just delivered a son, fathered by Peter Bishop. She's admitted that she hasn't thought of anything beyond whether or not she could carry a baby to term, yet in the last scene of "Bloodline" he's bundled in her arms.
So this week's question is: What do you think FauxLivia will name her baby boy?
I would love to hear what all of you think about this so please post your comments and opinions below! Please feel free to post any wild ideas you have but PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY SPOILERS!
And since this is a very open-ended discussion question, this week's poll is about which couple you would like to see (other than Peter & Olivia). Update: I've changed to poll to allow multiple selections.

Fringe Discuss: How Will Season 3 End?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 3/23/2011 11:08:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe

We recently learned the titles of episodes 321 and 322, and they have created quite the buzz.
Episode 321 is titled "The Last Sam Weiss," and episode 322 is titled "The Day We Died."
So this week's discussion question is:
What do you think is going to happen in the last two episodes of Season 3, based on the just-released episode titles?
I would LOVE to hear everyone's take on this, so please comment below. Feel free to post any wild theories or educated guesses you might have, but NO ACTUAL SPOILERS.
Please remember that everyone has a right to their opinion no matter how far 'out there' it is (remember we're talking about Fringe here!).
And since this is a very open-ended question, this week's poll will be on the upcoming episode "Bloodline". Who is your favorite character from "Over There"? I have purposely left out Peter, although technically he is "The Man From The Other Side", and I also left out Colonel Broyles since he was killed in "Entrada".
Who is your favorite Red-Universe character?
Fringe Discuss: Olivia Dunham Possesed By William Bell
By fringeobsessed Email Post 3/16/2011 10:08:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
Welcome to Wednesday, Fringe fans. It's time for our second installment of Fringe Discuss, where we take a look at one hot topic and have you weigh in on your thoughts.
This week's discussion topic:
Olivia Dunham is apparently now possesed by William Bell's conciousness. How do you feel about that? Is it a fun thing, or a bad thing? Is it consistent with things in this series, or too far out there?
There are some fans who have recently verbalized on the internet that they are upset by this development, and yet other fans think it's fun.
Please share your thoughts on this, and remember, it's healthy in Fringe to disagree.
Just be considerate of your fellow fans and please keep your language civil.

By fringeobsessed Email Post 3/09/2011 11:48:00 AM Categories: Discuss, Fringe
We've added a new weekly feature to FringeTelevision, "Fringe Discuss", inspired by your questions and comments. To christen this, we'll start this week with the following discussion question:
Who do you think is the more 'damaged'? Peter or Olivia?
Who do you think is the more 'damaged'? Peter or Olivia?
There is a good case to be made for both.
Supporting points showing Peter is damaged:
Supporting points showing Peter is damaged:
- Peter was duped from age 8 by our Walter(not his real father)
- Peter's alt-mom Elizabeth lied to him, saying she really was his mother
- Peter grew up without a father after age 13 when Walter was placed in St. Claire's
- Peter voluntarily chose a nomadic and criminal lifestyle up to the day Olivia blackmailed him to return to Boston
- Peter was duped by our Olivia(she learned of his real identity but kept it from him for weeks)
- Peter thought he was going home to his real family when in actually it was all Walternate's machine agenda
- Peter was duped by FauxLivia(Ha! The same way he was duped for 25 years by Walter)
- Peter was experimented on as a child by Walter(and as an adult also if you count things like Walter hypnotizing him and making him cut his sleeves off)
- Olivia's step-dad physically and verbally abused her as a child
- Olivia killed her last lover because he was a double-agent, who tried to kill her
- Olivia killed her 'partner'(technically a shapeshifter who had assumed her partner's identity)
- Olivia's mother died when she was 14
- Olivia got trapped in another universe trying to save Peter
- Olivia was tortured by Walternate
- FauxLivia stole her identity for 8 weeks
- Peter cheated on her with FauxLivia
- Olivia was experimented on as a child by William Bell and Walter
Who's more damaged - Peter or Olivia?
