The Observer makes an appearance in every Fringe episode. In the Fringe episode "Novation", he can be spotted outside the house of the late Karen Truss, just as Olivia arrives on the scene.

This is why I watch Fringe live, DVR it, then go to the fan website - I totally missed seeing any of the Observers in the episode.
