Fringe Fall 2011 Season 4 Schedule

      Email Post       5/16/2011 10:30:00 AM

Fox announced their Fall 2011 schedule at today's "upfront", and Fringe will remain at 9:00pm on Fridays (no official season 4 premiere date yet).

There were rumors that JJ Abrams' new show Alcatraz would be the lead-in, but it looks like Fox is going to stick with Kitchen Nightmares at 8:00pm.

Fringe will be up against CSI:NY on CBS, as well as some new competition, with NBC's new fairy-tale crime drama Grimm, and ABC's reality series Shark Tank.

Boo ya! Fringe FTW... However I wonder if NBC's new Crime Drama Grimm is like the Grimm brothers. Not that I would abandon Fringe, but it does sound interesting if that's the case

Yes, it is based off of the Brothers Grimm. Here is the full synopsis:

Remember the fairy tales your parents used to tell you before bedtime? Well, those weren't stories, they were warnings.

Detective Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli) thought he was ready for the grim reality of working homicide in Portland, Oregon. That is, until he started to see things...things he couldn't quite explain. Like a gorgeous woman suddenly transforming into a hideous hag or an average Joe turning into a vicious troll. Then, after a panicked visit from his only living relative, Nick discovers the truth about his visions: He's not like everyone else; he's a descendant of an elite group of hunters known as "Grimms" who are charged with stopping the proliferation of supernatural creatures in the world. And so begins his new life journey - albeit a reluctant one at first - as he solves crimes with his partner who knows something about Nick has radically changed but can't quite put his finger on it. Along the way, Nick finds himself unexpectedly getting help on some of the more difficult cases from Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell), a guy who seems normal at first but is soon revealed to be what you might call a "big bad wolf." Literally!

While the Brothers Grimm wrote fairy tales that children have adored for generations, imagine if the villains were real and Nick was the only one who could stop them.

From executive producers David Greenwalt ("Angel", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and Jim Kouf ("Angel", National Treasure) comes a new world of police work where all cases have a storybook connection...but not always happily ever after. "Grimm" also stars Russell Hornsby as Lt. Hank Griffin, Bitsie Tulloch as Juliette Silverton, Sasha Roiz as Captain Renard, and Reggie Lee as Sgt. Wu.

Anyone know when the dvd's come out?? I live in Australia and I've pre-ordered 'em from Amazon but have recently found out that they still withhold from sending them until they can be released in this country so there's really no point in buying from the US. :(

The DVD's should be available from early september. AUS versions don't normally come out till november. U.S versions are also cheaper, so it's worth pre-ordering from Amazon.

My guess is the Season 4 DVD's will be released in the US on Tuesday, September 6th. (It's always a Tuesday.)

WOW! Fringeobsessed, you already have access to Season 4? Have you come from the future?

My bad. You know I meant Season 3.
If I had Season 4 DVD's I'd have a huge viewing party and invite everyone. :)
