The Glyphs code in the Fringe episode Reciprocity spelled out ALTER, like how the machine altered Peter and "weaponized" him.

For more information on the Fringe Glyphs, check out Fringepedia's Glyph / Symbols page, which has all the previous glyphs and codes.

*If you haven't watched the episode, this is kinda spoiler-ish* You know how when Walter, Olivia and AStrid are all figuring out the shapeshifters, and Peter already did? Well, when Walter finally got to him (when he was at the last shifter's house), he looked really upset. I thought I had missed something and that HE was a shaeshifter. The way he looked. Though, it could have been the Doomsday machine, like Walter suggested. Just wondering if anyone else found him creepy. Also, totally different thing, but the whole Walter/Chimpanzee thing was great, brilliantly amazing...so funny, esp. the banana split & the magnifying glass. Can't wait till next week, that episode is going to be awesome! Anna Torv looked SO pretty all dressed up, it reminded me of the game Clue for some odd reason...

I thought that maybe Peter could be a shape shifter but like the shape shifter said they can't kill him so turning him into a shape shifter would kill him. I knew that the Dr was a shape shifter just from Walter asking him questions from the beginning and the Dr being too alert when Walter told Peter what was going on in the cat scan room. I did find it odd that Peter was way too friendly with the Dr having only known him a short time when he and Walter left. Like he didn't want to alert him to the fact that he was going to kill him later.

I too thought it would turn out that Peter was a shapeshifter because he was acting to different. Especially at the end of the episode, Peter saying what he said about it being a war (or something to that extent) and that fact that he showed no remorse, even for the fact that he shot someone in the head right in front of Walter. I hope Peter isn't going to be like this permanently, because he was kind of less likeable. Even when he was talking with Olivia, he seemed like he was straining to be nice.

Totally agree-I thought Peter was a shapeshifter for a while too. I REALLY hope that they don't have him continue acting that way, it really creeped me out. Also Nina better not give in to Walter, so what if Walter thinks it will help Peter. The original Walter specifically asked William Bell to remove parts of his brain, why would it be a good idea to grow them back. Just what we need an evil Peter and an evil Walter(well actually 2 Walters).

Oh well, too many questions left in the open, as usual. Can't wait for the next one(Olivia's in a dress!)

Watch Out! Stone Cold Peter - Badass! I'm starting to think he may be a First Person from the undiscovered third universe that the writers said they've created. Why else would he have such intimate contact with the device? It's also altered him mentally and he'll take on First Person characteristics, which will alienate him from the ones he loves. I see a blow-off coming for Olivia.

do any of you pay attention?
it was real blood found under James Falcon's nails (the shapeshifter), which means that the killer was human
