Is this the "Jumping the Shark" episode?? I hope not, but it sure looks that way!!

Our family looks forward to three shows - Lost, 24, and Fringe. Tonight everyone got up and walked out of the room about 15 minutes into the show. I'm sure this was fun for the actors but it was incredibly disappointing for the Fringe fanatics. I hope who ever was responsible for this is fired. Another one of these shows and Fringe will off our TV for good. This is how you kill a show.

Agreed Boatless. Sadly I agree.

It wasn't even the promised 'musical' episode. Just a few lines here and there, and Anna Torv completely murdering a song by attempting to sing it with her fake accent.

To top it all off, the plot wasn't even that interesting.

Sorry boatless but you have a very childish family. and those people screaming jumping the shark, obviously you don't watch the show, understand the show or even pay attention.

Grow up.

I dug it. It was well done as a portrayal of the anguish Walter feels.

so Anna cant sing, so grow up, it still was a good episode. If that black and white episode with Cher in it did not kill the X Files this is not gonna kill Fringe. Fringe rules, best show on TV.

Insulting someones family doesn't magically make this episode good. Remember that we live in the real world, not the parallel universe.

This episode was dull and lifeless, it did NOTHING for the storyline. Yes we all knew Walter was sad, his son has disowned him. But that happened LAST WEEK. How does bad singing help? Only the very last scene with the 'observer', meant anything. Tell the truth, the episode stank, deep down you KNOW it.

Well I, for one, adored this episode. Most of my favourite television shows have had a musical episode, or a fun episode or three. This was Fringe's version, and I thought it was fantastic. Not sure what all these comments about Anna not being able to sing are trying to prove. I thought she was great and very emotive. There was tension in this episode, humour, Fringe's trademark quirkiness, lots of hidden easter eggs, and just about everything else we've come to love about the show. About the only thing it didn't have was the inclusion of the continuous story arc that's going on at the moment (except for the fact that Peter is missing). But, then, the same can be said for several other episodes this season.

I think a lot of you should learn that what YOU like or don't like isn't necessarily the same view that everyone else shares. We're all different, we all like different things. This episode has quickly become one of my favourites.

RLFloyd, please share the 'hidden Easter eggs' with us. I must have missed them.

Brown Betty is episode 20, not 19.

Wacht this: Fringe Episode "121": Unearthed.
It should be 212. There`s the mistake ;)

First of all, zak, don't tell me what episode is good or bad. Shut up.

Karl,

Unearthed was a leftover episode from season 1. I go by the official episode number, per the scripts and press releases.

Hey retard, when did I tell You which episode was good or bad?
You insulted a fellow member's family which to be honest is just rude. But I forgive you, you have a mental age of an eight year old and an IQ that matches your shoe size. (easy for you to remember).

If the folks here want to see how a musical episode should/could be done then watch 'House'. no stupid story line involved.

This episode was wonderful, and it made me and my mother very happy. The fact that the story is coming all from Walters mind, like the bad singing etc. makes this a funny, and enjoyable episode, it's an episode your kids will enjoy, just a good hearted SCI-FI, that adds depth, and mystery, and also a father-son relationship that needs mending, and an FBI agent that needs loving, etc. etc. etc. I love Fringe and all it's endless impossibilities.
