New Fringe Commercial With Trent Reznor

Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive first look at the new Fringe commercial featuring music from Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. The commercial will be shown tonight during American League Champion Series game. EW reports that Reznor was excited to collaborate with J.J. Abrams:
So, how did the freaky drama series secure the services of Reznor? After Fox’s marketing department showed the Fringe producers a version of the promo that used “Zero-Sum,” series exec producer Jeff Pinkner simply asked a nearby Reznor acquaintance—that’d be co-creator J.J. Abrams—if the NIN musician might be interested in a collaboration. One email later, Reznor was on the case. “We offered him compensation, and he said, ‘No, no, I just want to have fun and be part of something cool,’” says Pinkner, adding: “How often do you get the chance to work with somebody like that?”
Reznor revamped his Nine Inch Nails song “Zero-Sum” in his mobile studio while on tour, adding lines of dialogue from Fringe’s William Bell (Leonard Nimoy) over the music. He even came up with the idea of “embedding” one of the show’s glyphs in the music (see below).

Pinkner also suggested that Reznor may end up on the show at some point:

“If he wants to come act on the show, that’s not tit for tat—that’s an open invitation, and we made that known to him,” says Pinkner. Any ideas on what he may play? “Well, his head would probably end up exploding,” deadpans Pinkner. “There’d be some uncomfortable biology in there one way or another.”

Here is an exclusive look at the hidden Fringe butterfly glyph, which can be seen by analyzing the audio using a spectrogram:

Seriously thinking about boycotting the show due to the fact that Trent Reznor is associated with it and I am completely disgusted with his behavior this last tour AND the fact he told his fans to slice their wrists. Bad PR move Fox!

I to am serious about not watching and boycotting the show.To even associate with Mr. Reznor after his terrible behavior and horrible comments him telling the fat fans in the front rows to slice their wrists and die.Your ratings just like his will drop. Very bad PR move is right Fox!

Absynthia and engred PLEASE give me a break. Oh no, somebody said something mean and is now associated with my show!

I'm sure everybody on the show has done, said or thought something bad about people before and it hasn't stopped you from watching. Get off your high horse and stop crying.

All true my friend. Reznor is a bigot, misogynist and a TRoll. He openly talks about hate, gives suicide tips, threatens to hit women, ad infinitum. How Fox got itself involved with such a person is beyond me. Suppose they lowered their standards....
All the info you or anyone might need regarding this matter can be found on my blogs but here is a link to 1 of them which makes for interesting reading

To Mr. "amazing" please don't tell me to get off my high horse when you haven't any idea of what I'm like or how I feel. I do not appreciate Trent Reznor telling a whole segment of society to kill themselves and then act like the smug asshole he is. He does not deserve any accolades nor publicity after behaving in such an abhorrent manner, and even if other people on this show have said terrible things they surely don't equate with the vitriol this man has spewed this past year. So please mind YOUR OWN BUSINESS. I did not ask for your opinion, this was and is directed at Trent Reznor and Fox.
