Fringe Boss Teases Three-Part Series Finale

Matt Mittovitch over at TVLine has posted a report noting how involved Joel Wyman is with the upcoming final season of Fringe.

The airing schedule of Season 5 still seems to be in flux. According to the report an uninterrupted run is not in the cards:

The fifth and final season, premiering Sept. 28, will have “two little breaks,” Wyman suggested to TVLine during our fall preview interview.

 Even the previously reported Feb 1 Finale date seems up in the air.

'#Fringe fans: Fox will re-air last season's pivotal "Letters of Transit" episode on Sat., Sept. 22 at 11pm/10c. Sets up the 2036 storyline.'

The Fringe Podcast Summer Rewatch Episode 16

We talk about the journey that Olivia and Peter go through and whether or not the writers took too long to resolve it, we talk about the new revelations we received about the origins of the observers and how that information gives us insight into season 5, and we talk about the series of Fringe as a love story. Some of us like the idea of Fringe as a love story, and some of us hope that there is more to it than that.

Fringe Series Finale to Air in February

It really is the beginning of the end.

Three weeks shy of the fifth and final season premiere of Fringe, executive producer J.H. Wyman revealed on Twitter Thursday that the series finale will air Friday, Feb. 1. Fox declined to confirm the date of the finale, which will be written and directed by Wyman.

In July, Fox boss Kevin Reilly told reporters the series' swan song would air in January. "There's probably going to be a few interruptions, but not many," he said at the network's Television Critics Association fall TV previews. "Just the holidays. [The series] will end in January."

"Beyond The Fringe" Comic Collection Out Now

Hot on the heels of FRINGE Season 4 being released on DVD and Blu-Ray Tuesday, the previously online-only series Beyond The Fringe has been collected into a trade paperback that appeared yesterday in comic stores.

The collection makes the entire recent series, including Joshua Jackson's acclaimed Peter And The Machine, finally available in print, although Jackson's story did appear earlier this year as a one-shot issue.

Speaking of that tale, specially marked copies of the Season 4 set are available at Best Buy that come with a mini-comic of the Jackson story. A yellow sticker on the front of the DVD or Blu-Ray will alert you to it being included inside.

The Fringe Podcast Summer Rewatch Episode 15
