  1. How can his name be Donald and Michael and September?

  2. Michael is not September. Michael is a different observer, who appears to be a child as he is an Anomaly.
    September is Donald.

  3. When September says the boy must live, is he referring to Michael or Peter?

  4. He is referring to Michael.

I wonder if Michael is September's son?

  5. @Old Darth

I'm thinking about septembers line in "firelfy"
"it must be difficult, being a father"

maybe this will be recontextualized? :)

  6. I admit that I don't closely follow Fringe as others. I know that September was the "good" observer. However, I don't remember the significance of "Donald". I know it's probably a stupid question but can someone help me remember?

  7. No need to apologize Travis - Donald helped Walter before he was ambered. Beyond that we know very little of him.

Nice one Surun! I like that idea.

  8. JUMPING THE SHARK! Glad there are only 3 more episodes to suffer through. So disappointed in this last season. I was o.k. until the end. How can Donald be September or September become Donald. Like I said SHARK FOOD.

    1. I can't believe that of all the crazy implausible things that have happened over the course of five seasons, the one thing that you can't accept is that September might go by more than one name.

  9. It's cool that Walter sees the different timelines in the vision! Can't wait for the final three episodes!! Brilliant, brilliant writing, all the way to the end!

  10. @Matthew M- Donald either became September by inserting the Observer tech or September took the tech out and became Donald...not that had to grasp

  11. Ending......time goes back to where walter saw the cure for peter through the universe window. But the change will be that walternate wont be distracted by september. Therefore peter will exist in his own universe.......a series of butterfly effects will follow.....one i believe woould be the change in walter and perhaps nina to lead to michael not being the anomoly.....and the observers not existing.....and women not (although its never been said) being extinct

  12. @ taramotto:
I guess the sentence "the boy must live" is supposed to be ambiguous now ... and the flashbacks showed us both Peter and Michael, so wait and see ...

  13. Hello! Do u have an idea of who was the man at the end of Walter's flashback, the man who turned and smiled? Was it September gone normal, with hair and all... Sorry if this is a weird question - I'm probably not such an educated fan as u guys

    1. Yeah, that was September, aka Donald, either in pre-observer or post-observer form.

  14. Ok, here's my guess. September knew all the future including Walter would not remember all thing about the plans after waking up from amber.

So September told Walter every single plan and become a normal human named Donald with Walter's help to remove the chip from his head(The reason why he decided to become a human was he admired to be a human?)

Walter and Donald together put the child in pocket universe so that the boy someday can remind Walter of everything. Why the child? I don't know. He has something. Walter has chosen him for reason.

    What do you think?

  15. That scene where he sees Donald(pre-observer) looks reminiscent to the episode of the guy who created the time travel only in his home to get his wife to come up with the cure for her own disease. Do you know what episode I'm thinking of?

  16. Nevermind! Found the episode, it was Season 4, Episode 6. Had Stephen Root, not Michael Cerveris(September). Michael is in no other episodes as "Donald."

  17. I think Donald is September in post-Observer form (and became that without Walter's help). Walter said on LoT: "what happened to him was… well, unexpected."

  20. I believe the child is a younger version of September. it would explain Septembers affinity for Walter. 'The boy must live.' he is the boy. As observers live in manys planes of time and space, how they are the same person can be explained.

    Donald is September, post-tech.
