One Degree of Fringe: Michael Eklund Going To Alcatraz

Fringe's Michael Eklund and Smallville's Eric Johnson have been tapped to portray escaped prisoners on Fox's new drama Alcatraz, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.


J.J. Abrams' new sci-fi series centers on a cop (Sarah Jones) and a team of FBI agents who track down a group of missing Alcatraz prisoners and guards who have reappeared in the present day after disappearing 30 years earlier.

Michael Eklund won won Best Guest Performance in a Drama Series at The Motion Picture Arts & Sciences Foundation of British Columbia Leo Awards in June 2011 for his portrayal of Milo Stanfield in episode 303, 'The Plateau.'

  1. I think I also saw the guy who played Richard Steig from the Fringe Pilot in one of the Alcatraz promos.

  3. Honestly I liked a lot, of all actors, especially invited to participate in episodes of Fringe, all very good indeed. Some more famous than others, with their time staging, quite variable, some soon, others in almost every episode, but again, all very good. But, of course, this group of good guest stars, who has caught my attention, that was Michael Eklund, in his outstanding performance in "The Plateau". This was an excellent episode of the 3th season where Michael Eklund, simply was the highlight, scenic art, the central story, playing Milo. This excellent young actor, no doubt, that greatly deserves all the awards and invitations to act, which received because, in my opinion, he has already demonstrated great artistic potential it has.
