Fringe Ratings Are Climbing

I know a lot of you were upset by American Idol's overrun Tuesday night, but here's the good news: it may have helped Fringe's ratings.

Inner Child
's numbers went up 14% in comparison to Ability, the last fresh ep that aired back in February, putting the number of viewers around 16 mil.

Not that Fringe was in particularly dire shape (like, say, Dollhouse), but FOX still hasn't officially renewed our beloved show for a second season. Yet.

  1. Considering how the show has been preforming in the ratings category i think its safe to say that fox will renew it for a second season. Compared to how most of their other new shows are preforming, it doesn't look like fringe is going anywhere.

  2. I just saw that Yahoo! article about Fringe being in danger. Man I will be really upset if they cancel this show. By far this is my favorite show on TV.

  3. Ugh, I saw that Yahoo article too. I hope they're just being drama queens, as opposed to being in the know of some insider information.

  4. Hey Fox,
Pay attention. I'm a baby-boomer and I love Fringe. Come on - keep this quality show. We need more of them.

  5. Fox seriously needs to stop keeping secrets and let us know if Fringe is renewed.

  6. I think the final true adjusted numbers were at 11.9 million. This was minus the AI overrun. The 16 million was the "fast national" rating.

  8. They are already shooting Season 2. Why would they be doing that if it hasn't been renewed yet? I thought they only shoot if new shows have been ordered by the network.

  9. Relax all.
    Go to the "fancast" website.

In this article, Kevin Reilly, president of Fox Networks, calls Fringe, "a keeper."
