Fringe Episode 115: What You Missed Because of American Idol

If you Tivo'd Fringe tonight, you might have found that the last five minutes or more were cut off due the American Idol running long. If that happened to you, don't worry - FringeTelevision has got your back! Here are the final scenes from Fringe episode "Inner Child".

UPDATE: In a strange move, FOX has pulled some of my videos from YouTube... Here is the same thing from Hulu, just in case.

Did you miss the last part of Fringe because of American Idol?

Wow, Baby Observer. I'm glad American Idiot didn't cut me off. I would have thrown my remote through the TV. Thanks for putting it up anyway.

  11. Thanks so much for this. Why can't Fox put something like this up on their own web site? I would have
had to wait a long time before being
able to see the whole episode on their
web site. They just don't get it. At least the other networks only make you wait a few hours to see them on theirs.

  17. Thank you, so much. What a burn!! We were frantically trying to find it on the Fox "Fringes" site, which doesn't seem to have even been clued in that there is now a Season Two. Jeesh!

And no, this household doesn't watch "Idol" either.

Anyway, thank you again, and again!! What a terrific rescue!

  21. Glad to see you finally got it up! LOL It took a while, but the HQ version is worth it.

  22. Fox should find a way to warn people when they run shows over. Why was it over anyway?

  23. It's because American Idol is LIVE, and they can't predict that the show will go over. The same thing happens to shows that follow football games. There's not really anything that can be done, other than pad your recording by 10-30 mins.

  24. thanks for posting the end ~ I hate it when shows over lap and the end of the next program is lost.

  25. I was so pleased with myself when I realized I could see the last few minutes of American Idol by playing back the first few minutes of Fringe. (I wouldn't have even been aggravated if it had been anybody but Lambert that I missed.) Then it hit me -- I was probably going to miss the last few minutes of Fringe. Sure enough, I just played it back and no ending. Yeah, Olivia probably killed the artist but what about the little boy?? Many thanks ... you just saved me from spending the rest of my day off in a snit!

  28. Thank you very much!!! I'd heard about the American Idol run-over, but I never thought about it impacting one of my favorite shows until I started watching it on my DVR tonight. It would have driven me nuts not to know what happened, and as quickly as possible! Thanks again.

  29. Thank you so much for posting this. It is certainly aggravating to look forward to watching a show only to find that it was unexpectedly delayed & you will miss a signaficant portion.

  30. Add me to the "Thanks!!" list.

If Idol HAS to run live and runs 7 mins over, maybe we can suggest to the networks that they should cut 7 minutes of commercials from the following show?

(I noticed that they got all the commercials in...)

  31. thank you - FOX should thank you big time - cant believe they treat thier viewers like this - watch a series - get hooked - just like they want you to then cut 5 mins off the end all becuase of one of the worst "shows" on TV "idol"

  32. I did find the episode on the Fox site. Too bad our DVRs are not advanced enough to adapt to overruns.

  33. They are... you just add 10 or 15 minutes of padding to the end of the show when you set it up to record. You really should do this for any live show, or anything that follows a live event.

FWIW, *My* Tivo didn't cut off :)

  34. I was hoping someone would have this online. I set a VHS tape (yeah, I still use those) and of course I was UPSET when the tape stopped at 9pm and the show wasn't over.

    THANKS!
