#Fringe’s Josh Jackson On Twitter Fears AND John Noble Shows Off New Haircut (seriously)
by Jim Halterman on April 20, 2012

@VanCityJax @JPFringe @JWFringe Talking to Josh Jackson (Peter) last week on the red carpet at the Paley Center’s TV Out of the Box event may have been pointless in terms of getting spoilers BUT he did urge everyone to watch Episode 19 of Fringe, which airs tonight on FOX (9/8c right after The Finder). And the always lovely John Noble (Walter), fresh from shooting the finale, sported a sharper new look.

EP's Joel Wyman & Jeff Pinkner LIVE Tweeting During 419-Josh Jackson Too!

      Email Post       4/20/2012 06:42:00 AM

You've heard me say executive producer Joel Wyman is a frequent visitor to Twitter.
Especially lately, as he knows Fringe fans have been awaiting news of a renewal of the series for a 5th season.

Wednesday afternoon Joel dropped in and said he and co-showrunner Jeff Pinkner will be live tweeting
both airings of episode 419 this Friday night.

As icing on the cake, Josh Jackson tweeted a few hours later that he would be live tweeting also,
but only during the West Coast airing.

Say hello to Joel, Jeff, and Josh and shower them with praise this Friday night!

If you do not have a Twitter account you can easily make one at http://twitter.com/

Follow the 3 of them at these Twitter addresses:

@JWFRINGE  Joel Wyman
@JPFRINGE   Jeff Pinkner
@VanCity Jax   Joshua Jackson

(fo note:I wouldn't be surprised to see other Fringe alumni live tweet also such as Jasika Nicole,
Kirk Acevedo, Lance Reddick, Michael Cerveris, and Michelle Krusiec.)

Fringe Observiews 4.18 The Consultant

      Email Post       4/19/2012 10:58:00 AM

Welcome to the Observiews for Season 4 of Fringe. I call them Observiews because they are more visual observations than deep thinking reviews, if that makes sense.

Screen caps from this episode are taken from fringefiles.com. Dialog is from fringepedia.net/transcripts.

All observations are mine and therefore could be totally off the wall and/or wrong. I have not read or looked at any recaps or reviews. I could also have missed a few things, oh well…

Fringe Twitter and GetGlue Campaign For 419, "Letters Of Transit"-FightTheFuture

      Email Post       4/19/2012 09:56:00 AM

Fringe Twitter and GetGlue Campaign For 419, "Letters Of Transit"-Fight The Futre
The last Fringe Twitter and GetGlue campaign, sponsored by Fringenuity on April 13th was quite successful.
Thanks to Fox Broadcasting's help, the entire episode aired with the Fringenuity hash tag "AcrossTheUniverse" on the screen instead of #Fringe, for the fourth time in the show's history!

There are lots of awesome statistics that emerged from this event, read more here.

The group, Fringenuity, hosts the Friday night Twitter/GetGlue campaigns.
Fringe Television is proud to support Fringenuity's efforts to promote "Fringe" in as many social media venues as possible, and asks for your help.

Tomorrow night we want to continue our social media domination, and the Fringedom wants to try to get the hash tag #FightTheFuture to trend on Twitter starting at 8PM Eastern.
That's 1 hour before the new episode airs, and then again at 8PM Pacific time.

Why keep tweeting? Because we know that ratings isn't just about Nielsen boxes anymore. TV networks and their contractors pay attention to which TV shows are 'socially-active' and our show Fringe is very socially-active on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and other venues.

Why continue this effort? Last Friday's event catapaulted Fringe in multiple social media platforms, and we need to keep Fringe visible in these platforms in the weeks ahead, especially with the ongoing FOX/Warner Brothers negotiaions for a Season 5.

Please consider joining in tomorrow night at 8PM Eastern and 8PM Pacific to support your favorite show by signing into Twitter and using the #FightTheFuture hash tag.

If you are not familiar with Twitter, you can create an new account rather painlessly at http://www.twitter.com/.

For more information on this week's special Fringe Twitter event visit the Fringenuity website here.

You can also adopt a special icon from at least 23 designs(!), and/or 7 lovely banners for this event by clicking here.

An important reminder: Please do not tweet with the #FightTheFuture hash tag until 8PM Eastern, to increase the likelihood of trending! And volume helps, so tweet slowly, and tweet often after the start time Friday night! Also, retweet tweets that you like, that have the # hash tag.

Let's dominate Twitter Friday night, and make our hash tag and our show trend worldwide! Again!

***ButWait! There's more!***

Another social network platform that needs our attention on Friday nights is GetGlue.com.
If you are not familiar with getglue.com it is a very clever advertising site married to social networking.
GetGlue merges fans with their interests, and their interests' sponsors.

If you have a GetGlue account you can "check-in" to Fringe. The shows that get the most check-ins are highly visible to the networks and the show's sponsors.

It is recommended you start checking into GetGlue closer to the start time of Fringe to increase the chance of trending there. For the last several Friday nights we made Fringe the #1 checked in show on GetGlue!

Fringenuity is asking that this Friday, your first check-in to one of Fringe's sponsors on GetGlue, ie. Nissan Leaf(since this is Earth Week), and thank them for supporting Fringe. Think it doesn't make a difference? Guess again.

For the last few weeks, due to our GetClue check-ins, the Nissan Leaf was one of the most checked-in sponsors on the site.

Let’s make it a combined effort to not only check-in to the show, but to also check-in to the show’s advertisers and comment, “Thank You for your support of Fringe! @FringeOnFox”

If you don’t have a GetGlue account, make one at http://www.getglue.com/.

You can post your check-ins to Twitter and/or Facebook.
The more activity, the better, as this may also get other Fringies involved in the GetGlue check-ins.

GetGlue also has convenient mobile phone aps for iphone, Android, and Blackberry.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Please, enjoy the new episode tomorrow night, and support high visibility of your show by tweeting on Twitter with the special hash tag, and checking into Fringe at GetGlue and thanking at least 1 of Friday night's many sponsors. Your efforts will not go unrewarded, and may help increase our chances of getting a Season 5.

It would be especially awesome for all of you reading this to get involved in these 2 campaigns, as both executive producers, Joel Wyman & Jeff Pinkner, will be LIVE tweeting during both airings tomorrow night, as well as Joshua Jackson, who will be LIVE tweeting during the west coast airing. Let's show these 3 important people via social media, our Fringe love.

Fringedom, the time is now! If you want your Season 5, Watch "Letters Of Transit" LIVE tomorrow night, and join in this Twitter/GetGlue event!

Make sure FOX Broadcasting and the Fringe sponsors know that you want another season of FRINGE!!

Vote For Fringe In The E! "Save One Show" Poll

      Email Post       4/17/2012 01:39:00 PM

E! Online is running their annual Save One Show event, which gives you a unique chance to help rescue your favorite endangered series from the evil clutches of cancellation. Here is an explanation of how it works:
After we get our winner, we announce the show to save on E! News and on E! Online, and then we take your message directly to that network. The powers-that-be will get your message loud and clear. And in the past decade, we've successfully help rescues shows like Felicity, Angel and One Tree Hill. When we get down to the finales, we even get the stars of the shows involved, and the outcome is always amazing.
Fringe is currently in the top five, but it is a fairly close race, so make your vote count!

'Fringe': Josh Jackson and John Noble talk Season 5 and the Peter and Walter dynamic
By Carina Adly MacKenzie

April 13, 2012 4:36 PM ET

"Fringe" fans are used to seeing the dynamic between our favorite characters shift suddenly and dramatically -- and while it's always fun to explore new versions of old friends, we've found ourselves missing that old banter between Peter (Joshua Jackson) and Walter (John Noble) this season.

"We had to fight to get the old dynamic back," Noble told Zap2it when we caught up with him at the opening of Warner Bros' Television Out Of The Box exhibit at the Paley Center in Beverly Hills. "As characters, and as people, because Josh and I love playing it."

Now that Peter knows he's been home this entire time and that Walter and Olivia are his Walter and Olivia, Jackson tells us that Peter will continue to grow more comfortable with his father. "So far as Peter's concerned, these are all his people now. All of the barriers between Peter and Walter should then be removed," Jackson says. "Even though Walter has to come out of his shell, still, a little bit, there's no reason for that father-son love to not be there. It's not the central portion of our story toward the end of the season, but he and I love doing it, and it's a good portion of the story."

"The payoff is really there at the end of the season," Noble says, promising a more familiar relationship between father and son. "You do see that again."

Speaking of fathers and sons -- Jackson promises that fans are about to see the fall-out from the revelation that Peter had a son. "You're about to find out," he teases, with a very sly look on his face. (Seriously, just watch the video below.) You won't want to miss tonight's new episode at 9 p.m. EST on FOX.

Fans are anxiously awaiting news as to whether "Fringe" will be returning after this year for Season 5. "There are a lot of warm and fuzzy feelings out there, between us and FOX," Noble says. "I know that the FOX executives love the show. It's just a matter of business, and it's very close, because we're an expensive show."
