Fringe Discuss: Who Would You Like To See Return On Fringe?
By fringeobsessed Email Post 9/28/2011 01:55:00 PM Categories: Discuss, Fringe, Season 4
Welcome back to our weekly feature here at Fringe Television called "Fringe Discuss",where we throw out a Fringe-related topic and eagerly aniticipate your feedback.
This week's topic is inspired from Michael Aussiello's 9/27 post at tvline.com (NOTE: You do NOT have to go look at that spoilery post to participate in this discussion.)
In this new reality, where Peter doesn’t (quite) exist, events have played out differently in both universes, and some characters who had died in the Blue/Red universes may still be alive in this new Orange universe.
Discussion Question: Any thoughts on which character may not be dead in the re-set timeline?
Please give us your opinions in the comments below. As always we ask that you respect everyone's opinion, and keep your posts clean.
NOTE:This is NOT the place to discuss spoilers! Comments containing true spoilers will be deleted. We have a great place to discuss spoilers called "Fringe Spoilers, " which you can get to by clicking on its tab at the top of the page.

Anna Torv talks Fringe, says she is unsure about film spin-offPosted on September 28th, 2011
by David Bentley
As sci-fi series Fringe returns to Sky1 tonight for a fourth season, Australian actress Anna Torv has spoken about working on the show and how her character differs from The X Files’ Dana Scully
Torv, 33, was born in Melbourne, Australia, and is now based in Vancouver. She rose to prominence in TV series The Secret Life Of Us, Mistresses and The Pacific and since 2008 has played FBI agent Olivia Dunham in Fringe.
Here she talks about meeting Fringe producer JJ Abrams on the set of his Star Trek movie and whether she would like to see the series make the transition to the big screen.

'Ask Matt' Addresses A Confused Fringe Fan
By fringeobsessed Email Post 9/26/2011 04:34:00 PM Categories: Fringe
Question: I love Fringe and have been watching it faithfully from the beginning. I know you are a big fan as well. However, after watching the first episode without Peter, I have to admit to being thoroughly or almost thoroughly confused. I realize this is kind of playing out in a sort of It's a Wonderful Life way — Walter has difficulty staying grounded at all without Peter being there, etc. But other than understanding that, I didn't get what was happening with faux Olivia (is that what we called her and is she being kept confined somewhere?), and I thought Agent Lincoln Lee (now with glasses) had a double in the alternate universe as well, but am not sure. Any help or explanation is appreciated. If a fan like me is confused, I'm wondering about others who haven't seen the show at all? — FayeMatt Roush: This Friday's episode, which I'll preview in my weekend guide later this week, should give you a better sense of how the two worlds (and the various doppelgangers) are co-existing. And yes, alt-Lincoln was well established last season before we met "our" version, who I liked very much. But there's no question that Fringe isn't the easiest show to make sense of, so to address your last question, I think Fox and the producers have pretty much given up on the idea of growing the audience. (That's why Friday is as habitable a perch as the show can expect.)
No worries, Faye, and fellow Fringe fans. You know you can ask your questions here at Fringe Television.
Fringe Season 4 Episode 1: Rough Edged Reset

Rough-Edged Reset
Neither Here, Nor There
Fringe
is back for a fourth season, stoked with a full head of story telling
steam. Thanks to the mind breaking removal of Peter from not just a
timeline, but existence itself, at the climatic end of Season 3. Fox
fanned those flames even higher with an excellent off season promotional
campaign that peaked just before the Season 4 premiere creating a buzz
with the slogan, ‘Where is Peter Bishop?’And the Fringe showrunners continue to demonstrate they are not afraid to break with convention. We are treated to our initial glimpse of a Captain Kirk - Tholian Webbing style, Peter Bishop in the very first scene.

Fringe 401 Review: Neither Here Nor There
By Josie Kafka Email Post 9/25/2011 04:06:00 AM Categories: Fringe review, Neither Here nor There, Season 4

“I know what it’s like to have a hole in my life. It’s been there as long as I can remember.”
I always get nervous returning to a show after a long hiatus. Especially a show like Fringe, which produces precisely the type of massive theorizing that I am so resistant to, post-Lost. Will I be pilloried if I don’t spend paragraphs meditating on the significance of the yellow/amber/orange credits? Will I miss a massive “clue,” get it all wrong, and have a bizarre idiosyncratic reaction that no one else can agree with or even understand?
