Fringe Exclusive: Remaining Schedule For Season 3

      Email Post       3/22/2011 03:00:00 PM

We just got word from FOX on the schedule for the remaining season 3 episodes of Fringe.

First the bad news: After this week's 'over-there' episode "Bloodline", there will be two weeks of reruns.

Hmmm. Seems like it would have made more sense to show reruns when you were up against the NCAA playoffs...

It also means we don't get a new episode on April 1st. :(

The good news is, once Fringe returns with new episodes on April 15, we will run the last four episodes of the season straight through to the season finale on May 6th.

Here is the remaining schedule:

3/25 - Bloodline (#318)
4/01 - The Firefly (#310 repeat)
4/08 - Reciprocity (#311 repeat)
4/15 - Lysergic Acid Diethylamide (#319)*
4/22 - 6:02 AM EST (#320) ***
4/29 - The Last Sam Weiss (#321) **
5/06 - The Day We Died (#322 Season Finale!) **

* According to SpoilerTV
** According to TV Line
** According to J.H. Wyman

These dates have been added to the FringeTelevision Google calendar.

UPDATE: According to The Futon Critic, Fringe will continue to air repeats all summer in the "Saturday Night Fringe" timeslot, Saturdays at 11:00PM.

Fringe Review: Stowaway

“Destiny, fate. Jung called it synchronicity. The interconnectedness of apparently unrelated events. Don’t you think it’s curious we meet a woman unable to die at the exact moment my consciousness returns from the grave?”

The Theme of the Week is fate. The question of the week is trickier—how much fate happens despite (or because of) our heroes’ actions, and how much does William Bell make happen? Is he really the focus of all this synchronicity?

Fringe Now: Alternate Universe Articles - Megaseas

      Email Post       3/19/2011 12:13:00 AM

The Sprint "Fringe Now" page of the Fox website has a new "Alternate Universe Article", which shows a news article from the Red universe, on one of those ubiquitous Motorola XOOM type devices.

The article is titled "Megaseas - Air pressure was compromised by unknown sources.":
Early this morning on Megaseas' weekly luxury tour of the submerged Island of Oahu, air pressure was compromised by unknown causes. The submarine had to make an emergency surfacing and all passengers were evacuated. This is the first time since 1978 that the famous two-day voyage had to suspend operations mid-tour..

First of all, the "Submerged Island of Oahu"? We know from the transcript of the Fringe episode Jacksonville, that people still live in Hawaii, so the whole state isn't missing. According to the alternate universe map of the US, half of California is also missing. Global warming, or giant quake?

Also, what caused the emergency in 1978? Did it have anything to do with Peter being born the same year?

Fringe Ratings & March Madness

      Email Post       3/18/2011 06:54:00 PM

The ratings for Fringe have been holding steady. Even after a one-week break, "Os" kept up the 1.5 rating steak alive.

Tonight however, Fringe faces new competition in the form of college basketball - specifically the second day of the second round of the NCAA Div 1 Championship Tournament, aka March Madness.Normally, networks show reruns during popular sporting events like this, but there were plenty of new episodes yesterday, and Fringe will be new tonight.

There are four games that start around 7:00 and could overlap the start of Fringe: Kansas vs. Boston U., North Carolina vs. Longsland, Purdue vs. St. Peter’s, Xavier vs. Marquette, and four other games that could start after those games end: UNL vs. Illinois, Washington vs. Georgia, Georgetown vs. VCU, Syracuse vs. Indiana St.

If you don't care about sports, or college basketball in particular, then carry on watching Fringe LIVE tonight! If you are watching the games, but also want to watch Fringe, the easiest solution, if you have a DVR, would be to watch the early game, watch Fringe when that ends (possibly even live), then watch the late game on delay. However, I know some sports fans will only watch games live. How are you going to handle this?

Are you watching Fringe or March Madness?
