Tonight’s Fringe is a do-not-miss, revelatory episode, crossing time and space and allowing us to see Olivia and Peter as children. The hour is crammed with references to previous episodes while adding a great deal of vivid detail to the series’ fundamental relationships between Walter, Olivia, Peter, and Walter’s wife, Elizabeth.

I don’t want to write anything more, lest I give something away about the episode called “Subject 13.” But how much more strongly can I say this? Don’t miss it!

Hardcore Fringe fans will agree that season 2′s “Peter” was hands up, down, and all-around one of the best hours of the series. The great news is that tonight’s follow-up episode, “Subject 13″ (which references the test subject number assigned to young Olivia), will rank right up there with it.

"Subject 13" showcases Torv, Noble and Jackson's performing abilities in ways sci-fi serial dramas rarely try. In the tradition of such dramas, the episode answers some questions while raising others, and is both effective and affecting as a mystery. It's accessible to the casual, occasional viewer, but won't upset or annoy the diehard fan.

The LIVE Tweet-along event will take place on this Fringe, February 25th, during both east and west coast feeds of the Fringe episode "Subject 13". Fringe Executive Producers Jeff Pinkner (@JPFringe) and J.H. Wyman (@JWFringe) will "join you to share insider info and answer questions from Fringe fans. It's almost like communicating with the alternate universe. Only cooler."

Fringe Easter Egg Roundup for "6B"

The Observer can be walking past the Rosencrantz building, right at the beginning of the episode.

Hidden Glyph: I didn't see any hidden Fringe symbols in this episode. It may not be an "every episode" Easter egg, like the Observer or Next Episode Clues. Or maybe I just missed it... if you find something, let me know!

Next Episode Clue: In the last episode "Immortality", the license plate of the second victim is APT6B. In this episode, Alice Merchant lived in Apt 6B, which is also the title of the episode.

'Fringe' Nominated For Five Saturn Awards

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror has apparently announced the nominees for the upcoming 37th Annual Saturn Awards. The ceremony will take place in June in Burbank, California.

Review-'6B'

How do I love thee '6B'? Let me count the ways?

I can almost picture the writers' brainstorming meeting for this episode. Someone says it'll be a Valentine's week airing and there's discussion about what that means. Inevitably all the forms of love come into conversation and Shakespeare's name is bandied about. Or, knowing the genius of executive producers Jeff Pinkner and JH Wyman, this episode which came to be known as 6B was built into the story arc in rough form way back in Season 1.

That would definitely not surprise me.

'6B' is a bittersweet tale of love and loss, and I daresay, probably the heaviest dose of foreshadowing we've been given since 'Brown Betty' in Season 2. Having seen '6B' three times now(that's not much for me) I think this episode was brilliantly written. It's also a none too subtle reminder of where Fringe is right now and where it is headed. The blue universe has a new gigantic elephant in the room we can label the threat of holes, not soft spots as Olivia is corrected by Walter. No one's been giving too much thought as to the decay of our side, until now when the threat looms large and fresh in Brooklyn, a location very close to the first and huge vortex that formed in the East River Over There. I guess we should feel lucky, their vortex began in 1989, so the whole(pun intended) process is beginning more slowly on our side.
