Fringe "Pimp My App" Contest Extended

The deadline for the Fringe "Pimp My App!" has been extended until 6:00 pm PDT on Monday, September 6th.

Here's the direct word from AppNation:

OK, you have 3 (!) extra days to work on your app for Fox Television and "Fringe". With the Holiday Weekend approaching, we figure the boys and girls down at Fox won't be reviewing the apps until Tuesday morning anyway so your new deadline is Monday evening, September 6th at 6pm Pacific Time, and not a moment later!!! You've got 3 extra days so pimp those apps and no late entries will be accepted. No exceptions!

We will also have very specific uploading instructions for your submissions over the weekend so keep an eye out for that as well.

We are all excited to see what you all have come up with and I know Fox is as well. And don't forget those 10G's on the line! Hack on!

Good news if you haven't quite finished (or started) your Fringe app! Remember, there's $10,000 up for grabs, so take this extra time to really show them what you got!

Fringe Season 3 QR Codes

On the bottom of the Fringe season 3 poster (and on the tail end of recent Fringe commercials), there is a strange looking "Fox Code". This QR Code is a type of bar code "for smartphones", that can be read by a QR Code app on your phone (or by using a QR Code website). The code reveals a website - in this case a new Fringe mobile website at http://m.fox.com/qr/fr.

There are some videos, photos, and cast info, but nothing you can't find on the Fox.com/Fringe site or on FringeTelevision.com. However, maybe once Season 3 starts there will be more going on here...
