In "Over There", an Observer leaves a drawing for Olivia which depicts Peter as some sort of Alternate Universe weapon. Olivia later shows this drawing to Peter. The drawing shows that Peter is the key to Secretary Walternate's plans to destroy the other side. The bottom of the drawing is encoded with a genetic sequence, presumable matching Peters. Here is a high-res version of that drawing:

Alternate Fringe: Comic Books From Over There
By Dennis Email Post 5/22/2010 03:32:00 PM Categories: Alternate Universe, Comic, Easter Eggs, Fringe, Season 2
In the Fringe season finale "Over There", Peter is taken to an apartment, where he and Alt-Olivia discuss how the two universes are different. The Secretary (Walter-nate) left some personal effects for him, including a family photo and some framed comics.
DC Comics has an interesting interview with Geoff Johns and Hank Kanalz regarding these alternate versions of famous comics:
One of the first calls I got was from the director of the Fringe season finale – writer/producer/director Akiva Goldsman. He was shooting a scene in an alternate world where things weren’t exactly like ours. Where even the smallest details were somewhat off. Including the comics. Together with executive producer Jeff Pinker, Akiva wanted to showcase an array of DC Comics that could’ve been including the ones you can see below. He wanted them to be as authentic as possible. Something only the hardcore would really recognize.
Here are the covers of the Alternate comics, and I also tracked down the originals as well:
United States Of Fringe: Map from "Over There"
By Dennis Email Post 5/22/2010 01:16:00 PM Categories: Easter Eggs, Fringe, Map, Season 2
In the Fringe episode "The Man From The Other Side", we saw some video from "over there", in which a US flag with only 48 stars was shown. In "Over There, Part 2", we can see a map that shows what the differences are here are there. It appears in the alternate universe:
- Washington is called Southern British Colombia
- California is missing half of the state (perhaps because of the "big one")
- Nevada is called Independent Nevada
- Texas is divided into North and South Texas (+1)
- North and South Dakota are combined into one Dakota (-1)
- Kansas and Oklahoma are combined into one Midland (-1)
- Louisiana is called Louisiana Territory
- Michigan is missing its upper half
- North and South Carolina are combined into one Carolina (-1)
- Virginia and West Virginia are combined into one District of Virginia (-1)
UPDATE: Here is a high-res version of the map:

Fringe Easter Eggs: Anagram from Walter's Lab
By Dennis Email Post 5/21/2010 01:14:00 PM Categories: Easter Eggs, Fringe
When William and Walter visit the Harvard lab in the Alternate Universe, there is a strange phrase written on a chalkboard: "A DEMON'S TWIST RUSTS". The phrase is an anagram for:
Sam Weiss is dude from the bowling alley that Olivia has visited several times for advice, and was also the secret glyph clue for "Over There, Part 2".
Why would Sam Weiss be someone not to be trusted? Who left this message in the alternate universe? Do they mean the Sam Weiss from our universe, of the one from "over there"?
* Thanks to Andrew for decoding this!

Fringe Easter Eggs: Video from The Other Side contains LOST spoilers?
By Dennis Email Post 4/23/2010 10:36:00 AM Categories: Easter Eggs, Fringe
In the Fringe episode "The Man From The Other Side", when the shape shifters arrived in our universe, the event interrupted the TV signals of several dozen homes within a half-mile radius of the warehouse. The odd interference contained broadcast signals from the alternate universe.
Two of the images displayed appear to be from a episode of LOST, you can clearly see Claire Littleton and Greg Grunburg, the pilot of Oceanic 815. They appear to be in Australia, based on the Kangaroo mural on the wall. According to SimonSmith2007 in the comments:
The LOST scene with Greg Grunberg and Claire Littleton is from the season 1 finale: "Exodus part 3" however it was never broadcast, it was a deleted scene on the Season 1 DVD. So in the alternate universe that scene aired :D
The other two images show some of the differences between our universe and the Walternate universe.
An image of the alternate White House shows a new glass roof. If you recall from the season 1 finale, over there the White House was destroyed on 9/11 - not the World Trade Center.
The last image is of the American flag, but you'll notice right away that the stars are in a different configuration. There appear to only be 48 states represented. This could mean that they never added Alaska and Hawaii, or that two states have seceded... Alaska and Texas?

Fringe Easter Eggs: More Hidden Glyphs in White Tulip
By Dennis Email Post 4/20/2010 01:57:00 AM Categories: Easter Eggs, Fringe, Glyphs

There are two hidden butterflies the the Fringe episode White Tulip, which are very similar to the butterfly glyph shown before commercials.

The first one can be found in Alistair Peck's kitchen while Peter looks through the photo album.
* Thanks to Spacegundam from the FringeTelevision twitter feed for finding this one!

A second butterfly can be found in Alistair Peck's lab, right as the FBI bust in to save Walter.
BTW, who is that dude in the photo?
This makes three hidden symbols in this episode so far, including the hidden seahorse. I feel like we've just hit the tip of the iceburg...

A hidden seahorse can be found in Alistair Peck's bathroom cabinet. This is very similar to the seahorse glyph shown before commercials.
It turns out that hidden glyphs were also spotted on the door of the liquor store in Of Human Action, and in the graffiti of Momentum Deferred. Could this be a recurring Easter egg theme that has been in every episode? If anyone wants to look, screenshots from every Fringe episode are available on FringeFiles.com.

Fringe Flashback: Eric Stoltz In Back To The Future
By Dennis Email Post 4/02/2010 02:41:00 AM Categories: Easter Eggs, Fringe, Video
In the Fringe episode "Peter", we see a flashback with two observers coming out of a movie theater showing Back To The Future. However, in the alternate universe, Marty McFly is played by Eric Stotz and not Michael J. Fox.
In one of the most amazing nerdy trivia Easter eggs so far in Fringe, it turns out that the role was originally cast with Stoltz, but after filming began he was replaced by Fox.
Here is a clip explaining the Back To The Future lead change:
