He's said over and over again how much of a fan he is of the show- watching as a fan when Peter was not involved in s3 and s4 eps. He wasn't not on the show because he didn't want to be around or had other projects--it was just the storyline playing out.

Anyway, sad to hear Pinkner is leaving Fringe. All the best to him. I think Fringe is still in good hands with Wyman. 13 episodes to go!! Let's finish with the biggest bang ever!!Jesii28http://www.twitter.com/jesii28noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-37424990085272504002012-06-22T08:58:42.582-04:002012-06-22T08:58:42.582-04:00@Chadwick Sayid

And frankly I have no idea about all the behind-the-scenes maneuvering, I’m just your average fan who loves Fringe. Ego’s can be a big problem in any workplace, as we are all aware I am sure, but as long as the job gets done I guess that is the most important factor.

Did anyone see the video of Joshua Jackson and the others saying thank you to the fans when they all thought that there would be no Season 5? Joshua kind of choked up at the end, he did not look, to me anyway, someone who wanted to get out of the show or have the show end. He was talking off the cuff, unscripted and to me he looked quite emotional.

Of course, I knew of Joshua, I did not have any idea who Anna Torv and John Noble were before I began watching Fringe. IMO, the Fringe experience has been good for all these actors, it has brought them into the forefront and because of this, people worldwide are fans of the show and of them. This cannot hurt for future acting jobs and I am sure that they are thankful to have been associated with this show from beginning to end.SissySirinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-4549696857850836692012-06-22T04:49:10.414-04:002012-06-22T04:49:10.414-04:00hey anonymous at wondercon-

Did the catering truck accidentally get paid in USD again, instead of Canadian, like the contract states?

All his work is essentially done. They finished writing BraveNewWorld 1 & 2 in January. All he really has had to do for the past 5 months is "Thoroughly OUTLINE" the 13 remaining storyboards... tying all of the loose threads in that they intend to from the first four seasons onto those storyboards, while discarding all of the threads they can't incorporate. After that he coordinated to get all of the writers/directors aligned, briefed and under contract to write/direct the teleplays that will be those final thirteen shows.

Pinkner sounds like a good executive. All of the kids are trained and pointed in the right direction. Why should Pinkner stick around like a 'hover parent' when he trusts the youngsters to accomplish the mission?... that sounds like Jeffrey Jacob Abrams and the way he gets shows started for Bad Robot, the scatters to the wind while the team plays the game as he watches from his luxury suite high above the 50 yard line.

Plus, if FRINGE fizzles like LOST did at the end, then Pinkner won't have to go into the 'Witness Protection Program' like Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof did when their Bad Robot show ended.

Maybe Pinkner is going to Vancouver to take over the catering truck business. I hear that is where the real money is.

--- Chadwick ---Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-20074608656935074442012-06-21T07:25:39.564-04:002012-06-21T07:25:39.564-04:00At Wondercon Pinkner was the one going on about se...At Wondercon Pinkner was the one going on about season 5 doing the overhype on 419, and Wyman seemed to think that season 4 was the last.

Wyman has been working on several projects, left the set of a film he is producing and he has written , with Naomi Rapace in the lead, and has another film lined up that he will direct and has written as well.

Pinkner is the one deciding that Olivia Dunham would be just a piece, to not write for the character, at the expense of Anna Torv.
So we are now after 4 seasons stuck with two characters being given decent backstory material Peter and most of all Walter.

Olivia had great potential (see pilot), Nina, Broyles and Astrid all could be connected with Olivia to give them more to do,
but instead everything was written around Walter and Walter and Peter.
Wich is the reason so many viewers left.

I think that a number of people on Fringe would be fine with Fringe ending season 4, Josh Jackson did not even want to be in S4, Wyman has his projects, Pinkner clearly as well, and Anna Torv must be longing for decent writing material, as there is not much left of the great Olivia Dunham.
John Noble must be the only one wanting a season 5, well he gets all the great material.

Warner Brothers wanted 100 episodes, Bad Robot has to deliver them.

Very interesting that Wyman on his own with only a few writers left, has already written 6 episodes, and set up the entire season 5, where last seasons they had not even started.
So he seems very driven.

But it is set in 2036, I hated that episode so much, but Noble has declared Transit and Westfield his favourites, and they are the ones being pushed by WB , see the screeners , for Emmy, well we know who their fav is.

Never mind that the lead actress of Fringe is Anna Torv, and the best episode of the season One Night in October, and probably all episodes with Over There characters are the better ones of season 4.

The End.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-7636574874132412472012-06-21T00:39:25.138-04:002012-06-21T00:39:25.138-04:00Signed Hector. But I have total confidence in the competence of Joel Wyman, in making this last season of Fringe, which is fantastic and memorable, even in something greater than everything so far we have been presented. I know, or supposedly know that this work of executing the production of Fringe was not, is not and will not be until the last episode, an easy task, but Wyman has all the experience, to produce Fringe, and there are three or four years has demonstrated this, and certainly he will go to the last episode, showing the same competency in the search for better quality of results, we all expected. I repeat that Joel Wyman, definitely has my vote of total confidence.Zepphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01697038527530043362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-39513739168436422602012-06-20T19:54:41.481-04:002012-06-20T19:54:41.481-04:00That sounds ominous Matthew M . . . The two have always shown great ability in their declarations, a lot of credibility in their answers to fans, was, until now, a duo that represented very well Fringe, no doubt. This output Pinkner, is a loss for the production of Fringe very important, I see, but I also think that Wyman has all the predicates and competence to finalize Fringe, the overall shape of its initial conception. Despite the bad news output Pinkner, I'm "feeling" that we have a fifth and final season of Fringe, simply fantastic, unprecedented, and best of all so far.Zepphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01697038527530043362noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-69428241063508905052012-06-19T22:21:07.146-04:002012-06-19T22:21:07.146-04:00Thank you, Jeff, for making Fringe the great show ...Thank you, Jeff, for making Fringe the great show it is today.
