I'm on Twitter and definitely...fringeobsessed,

I'm on Twitter and definitely follow Joel. I'm just sad it took so long to even think of doing so. I've been following him for a few months, but many things have been missed. I'm always surprised that he reads and responds to so many tweets when he gets a chance. He's responded a few times to me and he's been an absolute pleasure and a sweetheart. A few days ago it was https://twitter.com/Reinbeast/status/277231126202953729. :D And earlier he responded with a thank you to http://www.twitlonger.com/show/k7490e. I will follow Joel to any show he's involved with, because he has done such an incredible job with Fringe, because he cares about the show and he cares about the fans. He is a lovely person.Reinbeasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03544889970961930041noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-42145159895643703202012-12-07T15:05:04.706-05:002012-12-07T15:05:04.706-05:00Lccf, thank you so much for your comment and insig...Lccf, thank you so much for your comment and insight! I never thought of the Cortexikids vs the Observers in that light before but it definitely fits right in with my thoughts on the subject. As for Obs-Peter vs repowered Olivia, I'm of the same mind on it. There is no way that we've seen the last of Olivia's abilities and I believe this is again where we will see Brown Betty come into play as Olivia was unable to save Peter in time with the batteries but was able to bring him back to life because her love for him was so strong.Fringie6989https://www.blogger.com/profile/02434589621326912026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-90762862929208470692012-12-07T11:33:56.504-05:002012-12-07T11:33:56.504-05:00Well written and well thought-out analysis. Brown ...Well written and well thought-out analysis. Brown Betty sure was "out there", but it had a beautiful ending. ( The only real low point is that our actors, gifted as they are, don't really have a singing voice, except for Lance Reddick. ) "6B" spelled it out, but "Brown Betty" suggested it first : it's not about science, it's about people. ( Could "6B" be the last one on the list, by the way ? )
Your interpretation of September's line about "unforeseen" consequences is just brilliant, and so is the link you see between Bell's "science sans conscience" and the all-tech Observer future. As Nina said in the pilot, MD's tech, and tech in general, has spinned out of control.
As for who ZFT's "enemy" is, it may have changed with the timeline / the writers may have changed their minds : in season 1,it was implied it was the Red universe, in season 4 it seems to be the Observers ... but what if you're right, and it was the Observers all along ? Cortexiphan kids are, after all, the polar opposite to the Observers : extreme empaths fueled by emotions vs. emotionless minds, organic-based powers vs. tech powers. ( Which makes me theorize we'll have an Obs-Peter vs. repowered Olivia fight soon ... )Lccfhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12961734092950606627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-2698149432345519252012-12-06T09:10:35.182-05:002012-12-06T09:10:35.182-05:00Reinbeast,
Thank you so much for taking the time t...Reinbeast,
Thank you so much for taking the time to comment. :)
I will explain in Part 8 why I picked the episodes I did and how difficult it was!

Thanks for giving us the article link. I agree that executive producer Joel Wyman is an amazingly caring storyteller who loves and appreciates his fans. The quotes you listed sound very "Joel" and do not surprise me at all.
If you are on Twitter follow Joel there:@JWFRINGE and you will see that even though he is totally engrossed in the series' finale right now he STILL tweets to fans when he gets a moment.

I'm glad you enjoyed Part 6, and I hope you find the previous parts insightful and satisfying. Please feel free to comment on all of them if you have the time. And the reason some of these parts are so long? The Fringe series and the fans deserve it.fringeobsessedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02818528329131089151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-12452615364005110922012-12-06T05:39:24.777-05:002012-12-06T05:39:24.777-05:00I know, with my observations I'm breaking, but...I know, with my observations I'm breaking, but there are two things I do not agree.
1 - September says that the error was distracted Walternate to the laboratory and allowed this to our Dr. Bishop to save Peter, saving it in the lake and our Walter Reiden. The mistake was not to save them.
2 - September clearly demonstrated to have a fondness for Peter, who saved twice and is the only person to whom she smiled. I do not think Olivia is the Christine Hollis of September.
Excellent observations of Brown Betty and how many of its events reflect the reality of FringeSilvia Azzarolihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05874605708775889849noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-788645746622659643.post-34781118579537625822012-12-06T00:19:34.310-05:002012-12-06T00:19:34.310-05:00First of all... Wow! There was an incredible amoun...First of all... Wow! There was an incredible amount of thought put into this. Of course, any Fringe fan would. ;) It was wonderfully-written.

After reading about all those little details and foreshadowing I had forgotten, I definitely agree that "Brown Betty" is one of the most important episodes, though they all have a reason to be loved. I was hoping it was going to be on the list, but only 8? There are so many greats, so I wasn't hopeful. It happens to be one of my favorites, if I had to choose, for being so unmistakably about the heart. Anyone who didn't get it before sure couldn't miss it in Walter's drug-addled story. I never found it useless and fluffy. To me it was a deeper look into the distraught mind of poor Walter.

The fact that the writing credit goes to Joel Wyman, that he had the most input, makes it that much more wonderful to me. He has been absolutely amazing and will undoubtedly give Fringe an unforgettable conclusion. How can I be so sure? Because of the way he writes, the way he talks about the show, the way he interacts with fans, the way he was so emotional in the video at the 100th episode party where he revealed the name of the finale.

I found an article today (http://www.thetvaddict.com/2012/09/28/executive-producer-j-h-wyman-previews-the-fifth-and-final-season-of-fringe/) that I wish someone had tweeted to me when it was published in September. So annoyed that I missed it, but so happy to find it because of comments like these: "I just sort of went with what my heart said" and "the story that I’m constantly telling is that the heart is an organ of fire and that you can’t stop it from feeling or connecting." Damn it, how adorable and sweet is that? That tells me all I need to know about Joel and how much he loves Fringe and wants everything to turn out the way it's supposed to...whatever that means for our Fringe team and the world. I know what I want, for everything to be okay, but I don't know what I'm going to get. It'll be a beautiful and complicated emotion that I won't ever forget.

I can't wait to read the rest of these. Took me 20 minutes or so just to read this one, so it will be a while. Thank you for doing this.Reinbeasthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03544889970961930041noreply@blogger.com
