When a serial kidnapper “over there” strikes again, the emotional and familiar case hits home for Colonel Broyles, sending a determined Olivia to uncover additional details about the abductions. In the meantime, Olivia fights on and reunites with Henry (guest star Royo) to enlist his services on an intense and covert mission to return home
There are two Olivias - one from the red universe, and one from the blue universe. Our Olivia, the one from the blue universe, went to the Red universe to rescue Peter, but got trapped over there. With the help of Walternate's experiments, she has been able to zap back to the Blue universe, she just hasn't been able to make it stick.
I've been watching the show from day one so I get the plot so far, but my question is why hasn't she been able to make it stick. It seems whenever she goes to Blue, she pops back to Red within a few seconds, but she is from Blue.
Why does she keep zapping back to Universe Red? I don't get it.
I think it is the same reason as when she first started seeing "over there"... she has these special powers, but she doesn't know how to use them. She's never been able to cross over willingly without some kind of help.
Do you think it could be because their Olivia is in Blue? Like the whole balance thing Walter talked about between the two universes, so there is no room for Olivia and she gets pushed back to keep the balance.
The next ep. is gonna air today Dec 2nd 2010 at 9:00p.m.
To Will, I think you have a point, I mean we haven't seen the same to people in the same universe except when the shapeshifters were involved and that's not the same thing.
Anonymous: You're wrong. Walternate and Walter have been in the red universe together (when Walter abducted peter). And in the blue universe together (when Walternate came over on the bridge)
But the means by which Walter came to the other side aren't completely known, and doing it safely for him caused a fundamental destabilization of the universe. And when a group of the cortex kids jumped over, they had their combined power to force their way in. But one person (Olivia) overcoming this balancing force was apparently not enough.
But who knows, it's fictional logic, so any answer is as good or bad.

ReplyDeleteor it could be the crap she's injecting herself with. it might not be the right mixture to allow for a stable transfer to the other universe?
ReplyDeletewhen is the next episode going to air in the US?
