ReplyDeleteThanks for this. As soon as I heard Bauhaus I thought "wow, cool". I recognized Ash and NIN but couldn't place that great song in the first club scene. I started searching for the song list as soon as the show ended but couldn't find anything - Tear You Apart... just got it from iTunes. Nice.
ReplyDeleteBauhaus!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBut the version of Bela Lugosi wasn't Bauhaus' version. I came on here looking for whose version it was. Dang.
ReplyDeleteYes it's definitely Bauhaus.
ReplyDeleteIt says so right on the official Fox.com Fringe website:
http://www.fox.com/fringe/recaps/s1_e18.htmThey must have done something to the mix...
Yes, it was absolutely Bauhaus. They just edited it to include different bits of the guitar experimentation.
ReplyDeleteI really don't think it was the orignal Bauhaus version, or they have done a LOT to it. For a start on Fringe the drum machine at the beginngin definately sounded more like a Roland CR series which is not the sound on the Bauhaus Single version. The Fox website states that the Song used was Bauhaus but even a cover of the song would still have to credit Bauhaus. They own the 'song'.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone got a copy of the one from Fringe
This is why I love the internet. Sit down, wonder about that song. First link in google, and I'm listening to it within 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend once ask me if a Norwegian death metal band I was going to see in concert were Satanists, as she'd heard all such bands were. I said no, some were just poseurs & as Satanic as the Rolling Stones. Albeit, according to Satanism "individuality" is a Satanist creed, so I should say as Satanic as the Beach Boys. www.loudbeats.com
ReplyDeletePlease share the Fringe version of Bauhaus - Bela Lugosi's Dead. Thanks a lot!
ReplyDeletethe "Tear You Apart" by She Wants Revenge is the song I was looking for. Shame on me :s Great show, keep up the good work :)
ReplyDeleteDiscipline is a song by Throbbing Gristle, here in a version of NIN. Original ist much better
ReplyDeleteCan anyone provide the name of a song(from a cd made for bishop by a girl who was killed) that bishop played at the end of an episode the other night? Thanks,
ReplyDelete"Discipline is a song by Throbbing Gristle, here in a version of NIN. Original ist much better"
ReplyDeleteThrobbing Gristle's "Discipline" has completely different lyrics and music. It's a different song.
Thank you very much.

ReplyDeleteWho is the artist of the song Walter played in the car? This was the episode where Walter was kidnapped by the observers and when they got him back he went outside found a cd and played it in a wrecked car.
